Restaurant FAQs

When making a booking, you will be asked to input your card details, but you won’t be charged if you fulfil your booking or cancel within the cancellation period. However, if you fail to cancel your booking within the time period specified or do not show up to your reservation, £5 per person will be charged to the card.

Yes, all well behaved dogs are welcome. We have a designated section of the restaurant which is dog-friendly. Please be sure to select the ‘dog-friendly’ section when booking online so we can accommodate your furry friends.

No, unfortunately we do not offer a takeaway service. If you wish to book a table, please contact us.

Yes, gift vouchers can be purchased online for any amount and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Our gift vouchers can be used against our restaurant, bar and rooms – purchase your gift voucher here.

Yes, we are open all day, every day. Our serving times are as follows:

Breakfast: Monday – Friday 7.30am – 10am, Saturday & Sunday 8am – 10.30am
Light Bites: Monday – Saturday 12pm – 4pm
Al A Carte: Daily 12pm – 9pm
Sunday Lunch: Sunday 12pm – 4pm

For tables of six guests and below, the easiest way to view our availability is to click ‘book a table’ on our website. Alternatively, you can call the restaurant directly on 01665463001 to speak to a member of our team, or email us at info@thewhittlinghouse.co.uk

We are able to make accommodations for certain dietary restrictions with at least 72 hours’ notice.

Please notify us in advance of your visit if there are any dietary allergies or intolerances – we can then advise you on the best course of action.

We do our best to accommodate mild allergies but cannot guarantee that we work in a seafood, nut, dairy, gluten or allergen-free environment given the complexity of our kitchens and menus.

We would recommend bringing any prescribed medications with you to avoid any potential discomfort.
