Join us for a guided tour along the beautiful Northumberland coastline to discover the wild foods that thrive in this unique environment. Learn about the abundance of edible plants, fruits, and fungi that can be safely and sustainably foraged in the area.
We’ve partnered with Gemma, The Cramlington Forager to offer a memorable package that includes:
- A luxurious overnight stay at The Whittling House
- A freshly prepared, hearty breakfast
- A half day of foraging on the beach and in the surrounding countryside
- A beachside lunch prepared by our chefs using the foraging bounty and local produce. (Beach location is weather dependent)

Gemma, known as The Cramlington Forager, discovered a passion for wild food through a lifelong love of foraging. Inspired by childhood memories of gathering blackberries for crumbles and pies, she continued the tradition with her own children, sparking a deeper exploration of foraging. This journey transformed her perspective on nature and food, leading to a commitment to sharing the joys and benefits of foraging with others.
